Using Events For Triggers

I’m trying to create a workflow that triggers when certain events occur. Delay has a functionality that waits until a certain event happens such as “email replied” or “call ended”. I want to add these events to the initial trigger of my workflow but I can’t find them. Is this available, or is this not possible?

Specifically, can I use event triggers as well as specific filters for properties?

Use Output of custom code as condition for branches

We noticed that it is currently not possible to use the output of custom code as conditions for branches. However, it is possible to set them as the value of an object’s properties. So, we built a workaround to save the values in object properties and use them as temporary variables, which works, but is not ideal. Is there a better solution to our problem?

In addition: Can we use the properties of the related objects that we added to the workflow in “Edit Available Records” as conditions for branches?

Pairing properties (easily)

Hi there.

This is 100% a hail mary, but I’ll try anything rather than what I’m looking at….

So, we now have Country neatly created as a dropdown field in our records, and we have the same for country code. I’m looking for a way to “pair” these so that when Country is selected, the appropriate Country Code is also selected.

For example:

– Customer is in the United Kingdom? Country code should be GB.

– Customer is in the United States? Country code should be US.

– Customer is in Åland Islands? Country code should be AX.

However, I can find no way to make this easily happen without creating a 249 branch workflow that will pair them up. This is, to put it mildly, infuriating and insanely labour-intensive.

What would be easier is a lookup table, or the like. However, I really struggled to make this work in Zapier even.

Is there an “easy” way that I’ve not stumbled upon yet? I can’t even copy-paste the options in so it’s manualy cloning each branch and then editing the options…249 times. And then doing the same for Orgs.

Updating a Contact Note from Import

Hello, Quick Q:

We import contacts via Excel sheet on a regular basis. In the contact card values, there is a notes section. We keep historical touchpoints in this section.

How do I update the notes that are currently in this value, without overwriting what is there? When I select “Don’t Overwrite”, it doesn’t add the new content to the existing content.

I thought we had this working in the past.

“Whitescreen” when opening ticket in customer portal

Hi people,

We currently have an issue that is hard to grasp. I have a specific user that created two tickets through our customer portal (though the issue happens for other users, too).

Both of them appear in the ticket listing, and for one of them all is fine. When she tries to open the other ticket, the page starts loading, then a “whitescreen” appears. Meaning: it stops loading and the thread UI that appeared for a moment disappears again.

The rest of the page is still functional (Return button, menu).

We have tried and tested as follows:

  • We have associated ourselves to the ticket and tried on our ends. Result: the exact same behaviour. So I conclude it has nothing to do with cache/cookies, browser compatibility or user token.
  • We have compared all properties. Apart from time stamps, only the status was different. Changing it did not change the result.
  • The whitescreen ticket had a random image attached which was only 1 px. I deleted it – no change.
  • The conversation associated with the whitescreen ticket contains another contact that is not associated to the ticket itself. Associating the contact to the ticket did not change anything.

Now we are stuck. I suspect that there is an issue with the conversation given that the UI is indeed visible for a short moment but disappears when attempting to load the conversation.

Do you have any suggestions?

Bold / italic options greyed out on blog post / rich text modules (custom font)

I’m wondering if anyone has come across this.



My client has a theme using a custom font and on their blog the bold and italic options are greyed out (I also notice this on rich text modules):

The font is loading correctly across the site, I have a fonts folder with the font files and a font.json file with the variations you see above based on this documentation.



For this particular client they didn’t have the right font files (the above is testing with demo files) so I’m using an Adobe Typekit link they sent (with all the variations).



However, I’ve noticed this is also an issue on another client’s site with custom fonts.



Does HubSpot not show bold/italic options with custom fonts? Are there workarounds?
